The Jordan Lions and Jordan Fire Department are celebrating the success of the 42nd annual Christmas Food Basket program, which brightened the holidays for 221 families in the community. Each family received a basket filled with a turkey, ham, and traditional meal fixings to make their Christmas celebrations complete.
On December 17, approximately 40 volunteers from the Jordan Lions and Jordan Fire Department worked together to assemble and deliver the baskets to local churches, which then distributed them anonymously to families in need.
The program is made possible through the generous support of local businesses, organizations, and families.
“Without your support and patronage, this charity event could and would not happen,” organizers said.
