The Hubmen and the Brooklyn Center Centaurs slugged it out in the first half. There were numerous ties and lead changes. The Hubmen Led 29-28 with 0.3 left on the clock in the first half when Graham Helgerson banked in a 3 pointer from near the opponent’s three-point line 65 feet away.

The Hubmen bounced back with Jacob Conrady scoring eight points to put Jordan ahead 49-44. Brooklyn Center countered with their own run to tie the game at 51. Lexyn Grof then took over offensively with a 3 pointer and a steal for a layup to push Jordan ahead 58-54. Defensively, Owen Halvorson took a charge and the ball went back to Jordan. The Hubmen then hit a free throw to secure a 60-54 win.

Jordan 65 Maranatha Christian Academy 63
Last Friday Jordan traveled to play the Maranatha Christian Academy Mustangs. After a slow start, the Hubmen led 9-7. Jordan gained momentum with a 30-19 run to end the half. During the run, Jordan’s defense got numerous stops, and the offense started clicking with great team passing and shooting. Lexyn Grof hit back-to-back-to-back 3’s and Jacob Conrady scored nine. The Hubmen led 39-26 at the half.
Jordan led by 12 early in the second half before Maranatha went on a 19-6 run. The Mustangs took the lead 50-49 and extended it to 55-51 with 6:23 to play. Jordan’s Noah Robinson hit a crucial three to cut their lead to 55-54. Both teams traded points and the game was tied at 63 when Brayden Davis hit two clutch free throws to put Jordan up 65-63.
After a shot clock violation by Jordan, Maranatha had 8.5 seconds to go the length of the floor and score. The Mustangs called a timeout to set up the final play. With fans on their feet from both teams, Maranatha shot a three at the buzzer that fell short and clanked off the rim. Jordan won 65-63 in a thriller.
