Jaguars Dominated by Defending Class AAA Champions Benilde-St. Margaret’s

The Jaguars took on the 2024 AAA state champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s Red Knights. The Jaguars were outmatched, falling to the Red Knights 74-39.

After the Jaguars jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead, the Red Knights took a 16-7 lead at the 10-minute mark, but the Jaguars clawed back with a 12-3 run to tie the game, 16-16 with 7:21 left in the first half. Savi Borowicz scored 8 points during the run before Olivia Fynboh hit a free throw, to tie the game. The Red Knights responded with an 8-0 run retaking the lead at 24-16, and continued to increase their lead bringing the score to 35-21 at halftime.
The second half was controlled by Benilde-St. Margaret’s. They outscored the Jags 39-18 to cruise to a 74-39 win.
Savi Borowicz led Jordan with 12 points and Olivia Fynboh added 11.
The Jags are currently 5-3 and will play two games this week.
